12-11pm: paper garden records’ ‘multiverse playground‘ combines a music festival with comedy and interactive art. free vitamin water and pbr all day. 104 emerson place (clinton hill), $8.
7pm-midnight: cobble hill csa local roots hosts its first-ever food + music fest: cooking demos, a mozzarella-making lesson and performances by heavens gate, air waves, more. $7.
11pm: drum + bass musician-producer ltj bukem brings the beats to brooklyn bowl, $10 adc, $12 dos.
9/18 10am-6pm: brooklyn’s been the most literary borough since walt witman settled in brooklyn heights. follow in his footsteps at the annual brooklyn book festival where dozens of authors take part in free lectures + readings.
12-10pm: bikers and body-art aficionados convene at the 25th annual tattoo + motorcycle show @ coney island usa (free). plus, the last freakshow of the season @ 6pm ($10).
5-8pm: $1 from each beer and skee-ball game at skee for md goes to raise funds for the muscular dystrophy association at williamsburg’s full circle bar. raffles, prizes, giveaways, plus free cupcakes from kumquat cupcakery. 318 grand st off havemeyer, free admission.
