Thursday is here and it’s time for you to partyyyyyy. Seriously though, get out there and have a good time, because you’ve worked for most of the week and for a few of those hours, you probably even put in an effort that went beyond merely going through the motions. So! Reward yourself by having a good time at one of these fun nights out found on the Brokelyn Event Calendar.

SYFY MOVIES WITH A VIEW: DIE HARD
It’s everyone’s favorite Christmas movie, but in August, as tough as nails NYPD officer/one man army John McClane takes on a band of terrorists who’ve taken hostages at Nakatomi Plaza in pursuit of ill-gotten riches. Watch McClane outwit, outpunch and outgun them while taking the view of the Manhattan skyline in the background one last time this summer at the finale of the Brooklyn Bridge Park movies. Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker.
6pm, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 1, Brooklyn Heights, FREE

THE SPECIAL WITHOUT BRETT DAVIS: BKCF EDITION
Did you miss the Macaulay Culkin Summer Comedy Festival? Good news then, you can catch another star-studded lineup that Culkin co-host Brett Davis put together for his insane variety show, featuring performers like Jo Firestone, Lorelei Ramirez, and Good Cop Great Cop.
10pm, Union Hall, 702 Union Street, Park Slope, $10

GUNFIGHT, COACHES, BIG EATER, FAMOUS LAUGHS
Hide your empties, it’s the drunk patrol. Just kidding, tonight it’s actually whiskey-soaked country punk Gunfight! taking the stage at Shea Stadium, with help from Coaches, Big Eater and Famous Laughs. This show’s gonna be high energy for sure, so be ready to move.
8pm, Shea Stadium, 20 Meadow Street, Bushwick, $8

BULLSHIT OLYMPICS: BACK TO SCHOOL EDITION
Have a shameful, pretentious artistic attempt hidden somewhere in your past? Yes, of course you do, especially if you live here. Don’t be ashamed! Instead, learn from the examples of The Fader’s Myles Tanzer, Digg’s Veronica De Souza and others, who are willing to read their bad poems, self-insertion fan fiction and pretentious essays in front of a live crowd.
7pm, Videology, 308 Bedford Avenue, Williamsburg, FREE

BAEWATCH: ON THE PACIFIC…STANDARD
This isn’t just a comedy show at a great bar featuring our old pal Sue Smith and the very funny Matt Koff. It’s also a comedy show where telling the craziest vacation horror story could win you lemonade and cookies at the very least, and possibly even some kind of real prize. As if lemonade and cookies aren’t a real enough prize in and of themselves!
8pm, Pacific Standard, 82 Fourth Avenue, Park Slope, FREE
