You can always use more free summer music, right? No one has ever said “Enough with all these free concerts, we want to pay for some shows!” As long as we’re in agreement about that, here’s some good news: the schedule for free shows has been released both for the Seaside Concert Series in Coney Island and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Concert Series at Wingate Field.

The lineups for each series skew a little more towards classics of the R&B and rock ‘n’ roll genres, but that’s just fine with us, because really, who doesn’t like Huey Lewis and the News or Rakim? The Wingate Field shows run Mondays at 7:30pm starting July 15 and go every Monday through August, and the Coney Island shows run Thursdays at 7:30pm starting July 12 and run every Thursday (with a couple exceptions) through August as well.
