Well, hope you’re happy. You made a fuss over Brooklyn’s first cat café, and then you went and cuddled those kittens so hard, and you deemed cats the true spirit animal of the anti-manspreading movement. And because of all that, Brooklyn Craft Company has seen it fit to bring back its Catlady Craft Night next Saturday. Hope you’re satisfied.
On Saturday, November 21, catladies (and cat dudes, if they like) will come together for a themed DIY crafting party catering to lovers of the whiskered creature. Craft projects will include cat rings, painted figurines, cat-shaped leather change purrr-ses, canvas totes, needle-felted wool cats, and legitimate cat fur. Yes, you’re going to craft something that feels like cat fur.
The event will also feature a cat lounge hosted by animal rescue service Brooklyn Animal Action, with cats up for adoption and general snuggling. BAA is also hosting a raffle with assuredly cat-related prizes! And finally, you can look forward to cocktails, mewsic, and the spurrkling company of your fellow catladies.
Tickets are $85 for one, and $160 for two. And while that may seem a little steep, think of all the Christmas gifts you can get out of the way. All materials are included, and you can make as many little felt tchotchkes for the relatives as your cat-loving heart desires. Advance registration is required, so definitely get your ticket soon. Much as we hate to admit it, this event is probably going to sell out.
