This could be you, doing live art stuff! via Nothside Media

If you’re an as-yet unknown artist around here, there’s another big event where you can show off your work after Bushwick Open Studios this spring, because the Northside Festival has announced they want to show off your live interactive art to the crowds. Maybe you can even do a live painting of the mural you’ve already put on their wall. Or is that being a one-painting trick pony?

In addition to sweet free shows at McCarren Park, there’s an arts component to Northside too, called Northside Arts. For part of the art segment, they’ll be building temporary wall units and interactive installations, to host performances, live graffiti and public sculptures on Bedford Avenue.

So where do you come in? If you’re a painter, sculptor, performance or street artist, the Northside Festival is now calling you to submit your work to them. Send your work to victoria [AT], but don’t slack on it. You have till May 12 to share your best artistic endeavors, and then maybe you’ll be able tell people that you shared a bill with CHVRCHES one time. It’ll be technically true.
