Won’t someone take these 4 free Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival benefit concert tickets off our hands?

Every year, when BRIC’s much anticipated and beloved Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival releases its summer lineup of free music, there are a few benefit concerts charging entry. On the nights of the non-free shows, it has become custom for those can’t afford to pay $50 on a single night’s event to congregate just beyond the fenced off Bandshell and lie in the grass, listening but not seeing, to the performance. It’s nice, not paying cash but still being able to enjoy the music, thanks to physics and air and the nature of sound travel. It would, however, undoubtedly be nicer to also be able to see the stage.

So for all you Brokesters pining for The Full Experience, we’ve got good news: We’re raffling off two pairs of free tickets to the Sufjan Stevens, Nico Muhly, Bryce Dessner & James McAlister “Planetarium” benefit concert on Tuesday, July 18 at 7pm (gates at 6pm). Other plebeians sans hookup have to pay $50 advance / $55 day of for the owner of attendance, but four of our lucky readers can go for free.

Just enter your email in our raffle below and we’ll shoot a message to our two winners, who may bring one guest of their choosing.

Planetarium, a less than obvious title, refers to a concept album exploring the “celestial bodies of our solar system (and beyond) through soundscape, song, science and myth.” Seems like the visual component’s gonna be dope.
