Work in Manhattan? Don’t forget to watch Manhattanhenge tonight!

Heads up Manhattan-working Brokesters: you can watch a pretty extraordinary sunset tonight at 8:12 pm. In short, it’ll be one of your best Instagram snaps of the year. If you’re the sort of person who cares about that kind of thing. Or better yet, ditch your phone and enjoy and beautiful and simple moment by yourself in this fantastic warm weather.

What is Manhattanhenge?Twice a year, city residents get a cool sunset tonight and once again around July 12 and 13. According to Scientific American, it’s a sunset that “allows the setting sun to be seen on all streets headed east and west simultaneously.” In short, it’s wicked awesome. If you want to know more about its history and how it came about, you can thank Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Where can you see it? According to the famed astrophysicist, you should venture over to two-way cross streets such as 14th, 23rd, 34th, 42nd and 57th streets.

So, set your watch and prepare yourself for a glorious sunset. It’ll be worth it.
