    So… the per-ride fair will still be $2.25, right? And they will still have the 10% ‘discount’ on MetroCard purchases, right?

    If both of those are right (but I might be wrong because I think they are purposefully trying to confuse us), then you need to ride the train 52 times in 30 days to break even.

    Most months have about 22 (maximum) commuting days, or 44 swipes. Add some holidays and/or don’t use your card regularly on the weekend… well, you’re getting screwed.
