Catch a screening of Greenberg and stay for Q&A with director/writer Noah Baumbach (The Squid and the Whale). Bam Rose Cinemas, $12.

7-10pm: Opening party for Guvnor’s, a Park Slope vintage thrift store with an edge. Live music, burlesque, fashion show, more. RSVP for invite.

SATURDAY
Prospect Park’s 1912 carousel opens in time for spring break. $2/ride, $9/book of 5.

11am: Make your way to Sheepshead Bay for a judged BBQ contest and chili smackdown. $10 gets you all the chili you can eat. BBQ, beer, more available for purchase.

1pm: Learn about the history and architecture of One Hanson (former Williamsburg Savings Bank and now home of the Brooklyn Flea) from NYC and Brooklyn historian Prof. Ken Jackson and Stuart Blumin. Free.

SUNDAY
12pm:
Marty Markowitz cracks a bottle of egg cream on The Cyclone to inaugurate the opening of Coney Island for the season. The first 100 folks ride free, $8 for the rest of us. Bonus coupon: buy 1 get 1 free at Nathan’s (but, please… eat after you ride).

7pm: Rockers Vivian Girls give a free show at Brooklyn Bowl‘s 2nd Local X Local event. Chow on fish tacos from Bushwick’s Tortilleria Mexicana Los Hermanos, Mast Brothers Chocolate, more. RSVP on Facebook for $3 Brooklyn Brewery Beer 7-9pm.
