This weekend: The Warriors ride, nerd nite, Cheryl party

7pm: prefer mr. rochester over heathcliff? contributors from ‘zine eyresses: the zine for jane eyre enthusiasts take over word with dramatic readings + jane eyre trivia. free.

9pm: put on your best specs for nerd nite‘s 5th anniversary at galapagos, $10.

9pm: secret formula’s 90s alternative sing-along features hours of subtitled music vids of your favorite hits. contests, prizes, plaid!. legion, free.

7pm starts: longboard skaters follow the (26 mile!) route set in 1979 cult flick the warriors for the second warriors race to coney island. starts at van cortlandt park (bronx).

8pm: the string orchestra of brooklyn premieres four newly commissioned works in partnership with issue project room in st. ann’s church (brooklyn heights), $14.

8pm: comediennes arden myrin and lisa delarios get their always fun ‘party machine’ on at union hall. this month: julian mccullough, craig baldo, jon friedman. $5.

11pm: cheryl (‘the dance party that will ruin your life’) returns from their european tour with a castle-themed evening. bell house, $10.

1pm: death by aquavit! = a danish sxsw sendoff with food, booze, and bands (giana factory, alcoholic faith mission, lars and the hands of light, cody, callmekat). litlefield, $5.

1pm-5pm: the 6th annual ghost bike memorial ride and walk honors cyclists killed in accidents. start locations in manhattan, brooklyn, bronx and staten island, ending ceremony at borough hall.

2-7pm: artists create drawings on the spot in hour-long shifts at the dumbo art center’s monster drawing rally/benefit. all original artwork will be available for purchase for $50. 81 front st., $10 admission.

10pm: 10 comics, including matt mccarthy, eugene mirman, myq kaplan, joe mande, and dave hill (what, no ladies?) do their thing at the conan o’brien stand-up guest showcase at union hall, $10.

4-7pm (every night): $1 oysters at williamsburg’s maison premiere.
