8:30pm: the kings county cinema society presents a short film slam at littlefield, $5

: minnesota indie rockers cloud cult play mhow, $17

: show off your wheels at city reliquary’s 7th annual bike fetish day. pimp your bike photo booth, music, food, vendors, prizes, more. after party 6-10pm. city reliquary, free.

1-5pm (every saturday): take a self-guided canoe tour on the gowanus. 165 2nd street, brooklyn, free.

1:30pm: make your own ch-ch-ch chia pet! spacecraft (williamsburg), $10 includes materials (rsvp).

2pm: see some of williamsburg and bushwick’s best street art on the time’s up! annual graffiti bike ride. meet at their brooklyn space (99 south 6th st.).

3-7pm print may be dead but ‘zines never die as long as there’s still angst. pete’s candy store celebrates the modest chapbook with its mini ‘zine fest. free.

8pm-3am: deee-lite’s lady miss kier guest djs at the banzai!!!!! art and performance blitz. red lotus room (893 bergen st., crown heights), $10 adv, $15 door (nsfw).

10pm: live band karaoke: bunnie england + the new originals provide the live band (they know 200 songs!), you provide the vocals. bell house front room, $5.

: dance it up gowanus-style at the ‘mister sunday’ outdoor party with eamon harkin, justin carter and four tet. brooklyn flea food vendors, booze, grooves. gowanus grove (formerly bklyn yard), 400 carroll street (between bond + nevins), brooklyn, $12.

4pm: braiiiiins! the 4th annual springtime zombie crawl invades brooklyn with blood, zombies, and booze. makeovers for the not-yet-undead, human tug-o-war, more. starts at knitting factory (free), after party at public assembly ($8).

7pm: cavalry horses lead a grand procession through green-wood cemetery and musicians, singers and reenactors perform civil war songs past candlelit graves of 4,500 civil war veterans. $10 adv, $15 door.

coney island beach is officially open to swimmers for the season!

governors island opens for the summer with free ferry service and free bike rental fridays, figment’s miniature golf, art installations, more. free.
