Food & Drink

Consume W’burg & Greenpoint’s best food and drank in one place, at a discount

You can’t literally eat Williamsburg and Greenpoint, nor would they taste good, but within the restaurants built upon their hallowed Brooklyn soil, there are many tasty bites. Now, many of those tasty bites are coming together for a tasty bite reunion, more colloquially known as a food fest.

The TASTE Williamsburg Greenpoint Food Fest & Brooklyn’s Best event is returning this year for its 8th annual outdoor celebration of North Brooklyn flavors. The block party-style festival will feature sample taste from more than 40 of the neighborhoods most delicious restaurants, bars, breweries and wineries.

Brokelyn Beer Book bars Brooklyn Brewery and MIDNIGHTS are included in the mouthwatering lineup, as are beloved eateries which have expanded beyond just local fame like Bedford Cheese Shop, Maison Premiere and The Meatball Shop, not to mention neighborhood strongholds like Nitehawk Cinema and St. Mazie.

In addition to the food and drink, there’ll be live music, demonstrations and more, with more local restaurant participants yet to be announced.

The party’s going down on September 17 from 1 to 5pm on the Williamsburg waterfront (90 Kent Ave.). You can snag $21 Firehouse tickets (earning you 4 tastes and 2 drinks), $36 Firehouse Plus tickets (worthy of 8 tastes and 4 drinks), and $85 VIP tickets (8 tastes, 4 drinks, 30 minutes worth of early access and a gift), all still available – for now.

All of the proceeds from the event will go to Firehouse North Brooklyn Community Center at 134 Wythe Ave. The center, thanks in large part to the money made at TASTE, is nearing its fundraising goal and hoping to open doors later this year.
