Stimulate this: The U.S. Office of Personnel Management’s new job site lists 120 open positions within 10 miles of New York City, some of them pretty cool-sounding. They include an army bartender ($12 an hour), a small boat captain ($24 to $29 per hour), and an investigator for the department of Food & Nutrition Services ($75,986.00 to $98,777). The Brokavore has dibs on that excellent gig, but this one is up for grabs: a “medication technician” for the federal Bureau of Prisons. We can recommend some highly qualified applicants for that one. Annual salary is $44,492 to $56,534, and it’s right here in Brooklyn. See the full list of local jobs here.
