Two years after Glasslands closed – alongside Death by Audio and 285 Kent, together composing the great DIY venue felling of 2014 – it was announced that from the ashes would rise Elsewhere, a more ambitious, permanent, and polished incarnation of Glasslands from its old owners.
This Friday, Elsewhere will be hosting a huge party in its sprawling Bushwick space at 599 Johnson Ave. Brokelyn readers get a special discount – show up before midnight and get in free with this RSVP link.
The headlining act, Viceroy, is a San Fran DJ/Producer who will be sending summer vibes at you, which is very necessary because everyone knows New Yorkers don’t get enough vitamin D (my doctor suggests 800 to 2,000mg a day).
You’ll also be hearing sets from Sammy Bananas, Zephyr Ann, Supply NY, and Wilki.
The show is 21+ and if you don’t make it before midnight, tier 2 & 3 tickets will run you between $25 and $31 (tier 1 tickets are sold out). The show starts at 10pm and goes until 4am.
