Brooklyn-based Atlas Obscura describes itself as the “definitive guide to the world’s wondrous and curious places,” and they produce some of our favorite content on this here internet, from features on cool places like Brooklyn’s own Superhero Supply store to asking “why are rats always the bad guys?” They’ve got a whole bunch of sweet openings right now.

Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club

The mega-popular Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club in Gowanus is “looking to hire a whip-smart, experienced, full-time Events Manager.” It’s a pretty great space that hosts lots of super rad events that go way beyond just slapping the biscuits around the court. A whole bunch of tech jobs

Meerkat Media Coop

The Sunset Park-based collective is looking to add two new members to its video production company. “Our ideal candidates are experienced in editing and cinematography, and are also comfortable and interested in producing/directing.” Applications will be accepted until January 13, 2017.

Lower East Side Ecology Center

The E-Waste warehouse The center is hiring a project manager for its Gowanus E-waste warehouse (an awesome place we extolled the virtues of here). “The Project Manager reports to the executive director and oversees all program areas, plus the development of new programs and partnerships. Requirements include Bachelor’s Degree or higher, at least three years of experience managing staff and volunteers, demonstrated interest and/or experience in sustainability field and strong administrative and organizational skills. The Brooklyn-based site best known for annotating song lyrics is searching for its first-ever artist relations associate to support its Head of Artist Relations “and deliver high-value and creative artist opportunities for Genius video and editorial products.”

The ideal candidate “would be a true music obsessive who is also an organizational powerhouse—you love going to concerts and building checklists with equal enthusiasm. A fluency in music culture—particularly pop music and hip-hop—is essential.” Requirements include: two+ years experience in music and/or media, deep knowledge in a wide variety of music genres, particularly pop music and hip-hop and more.
