While we’re on the theme of summer fitness today, we got word this week that S-Clubs Fitness in Park Slope is offering a series of classes for free next month, including zumba, spinning and yoga. Jason Daniels of the club says the program is “to help everyone jumpstart their fitness goals for the summer, as well as find fun new ways to stay committed.” This is one of those chances to get on if you’re not sure the whole “fitness” thing is for you, or if you think Zumba is that little robot vacuum guy.
[Note: after some initial confusion, we confirmed with CEO Jason Daniels that the specials are “completely free and open to the public with pre registration to make sure there is space.”]
Free Zumba “Class Series:” June 13 June 15 and June 17 at 6:30pm. The class combines dance movements moxing pop, soul, R&B, rock post disco music and hypnotic Latin Dance rhythms. This three-part series takes you through the different levels and styles of Zumba.
Free 60 minute spinning class: June 21st at 7:30pm, perfect if your goal is weight reduction and improved cardio endurance. It’s taught by S-Club nationally certified instructor, Johnny G, spinning features a warm up, steady up tempo cadence, sprints, climbs and cool down.
Free 60 minute yoga class on June 23rd at 7:30pm.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required, so call (718) 783-4343 or stop by S-Clubs fitness at 808 Union St. in Park Slope.
