You want to watch a movie, but you also want to go to the beach – what to do? In Brooklyn, you can have your flicks AND sand between your toes, because Coney Island Flicks on the Beach is returning to our borough’s southern sandbar for another year of projecting classics young and old onto a 40-foot screen on West 12th St.
The free outdoor series starts up the second Monday of July and continues for the following seven Mondays. The films will start at 7pm, and in addition to free flicks there’ll also be music and giveaways. This year’s lineup is very kiddie friendly, and includes two sneak previews of Amazon Studios films by NYC filmmakers (Crown Heights and Landline). Come watch movies about Crown Heights in Coney Island!
