You’ve got bookings on the mothership. via George Clinton

Here it is, you’ve made it to Thursday, look at you! We understand your excitement, because especially in the summer time, Thursday is the last day of the week anyone really tries at work. So while you’re hastily trying to do today’s and Friday’s work so you can just dick around taking personality quizzes tomorrow, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the best things happening in Brooklyn tonight, courtesy of the Brokelyn Events Calendar.

SYFY MOVIES WITH A VIEW: SHARKNADO 2
The original Sharknado was pretty great, a bonkers low-budget crappy special effects-fest about a series of  tornados that had sharks in them for some reason. The only point against it really was that it wasn’t set in New York, and look at that, Sharknado 2 fixes that issue, so go revel in the glory of its badness while also recognizing stuff on screen.
6pm, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 1, Brooklyn Heights, FREE

MYRTLE COMEDY
It’s another awesome night at Myrtle Comedy, but not just any awesome night. Tonight, you get to laugh at (or with?) Emmy Blotnick AND Brendon Small, who you might know from shows like Home Movies and Metalocalypse. Will Small play some brain-melting guitar licks? One can only hope.

“AND SOME, I ASSUME, ARE GOOD PEOPLE” MEXICAN TRIVIA NIGHT
As you may know, future POTUS Donald Trump said some pretty terrible things about Mexican immigrants. And then kept saying them. In honor of richest, most successful bigot in America, Three Jolly Pigeons is turning their trivia night into a Mexican-themed one, in honor of the great Mexicans and Mexican achievements in the world. It’s going to be the most luxurious, most popular trivia night in Brooklyn and really only sad losers will be skipping this. The host is the best trivia host in Brooklyn and is a personal friend of ours.
