Apply for the affordable housing lottery at multiple Brooklyn buildings

The first week in March saw a number of applications open for new “affordable” housing units open through NYC Housing Connect, and while the idea of what exactly is “affordable” or not in NYC seems to be constantly in flux, you have a chance to win the lottery and score a nominally cheaper/shinier apartment. Here’s where to apply:

Williamsburg:

123 Hope St. via Google Maps

123 Hope St.: 41 affordable apartments ranging from $1,231 per month for a studio to $2,759 per month for a two-bedroom unit; apply by May 6th.

Amenities: Fitness center, community facilities, roof deck, package room, bike room, parking (additional parking fee applies).

Wingate:

824 East New York Ave.

824 East New York Ave.: 28 affordable apartments ranging from $1,800 per month for a studio to $2,600 per month for a two-bedroom; apply by April 8th,

Amenities: Gym, roof deck, in-unit laundry, parking*, bike room* (*additional fees apply)

Bed Stuy:

238 Pulaski St. (via Google Maps)

238 Pulaski St.: Four affordable apartments ranging from $1,700 per month for a studio to $2,350 per month for a two-bedroom; apply by April 1st.

Amenities: Card-operated laundry room (additional fees apply).

 

Prospect Lefferts Garden:

346 Rutland Road (via Reside New York)

346 Rutland Road: Four affordable apartments ranging from $1,999 per month for a studio to $2,475 per month for a two-bedroom; apply by April 1st.

Amenities: Bike storage, gym, game room, lounge, card-based laundry room*, roof access (*additional fees)

2527 Church Avenue (via Google Maps)

2527 Church Ave.: Seven affordable apartments ranging from $1,900 per month for a studio to $1,950  per month for a one-bedroom unit; apply by March 26.

Amenities: Elevator, laundry room*, fitness center*, parking spaces* (*additional fees apply).

Bushwick:

1595 Broadway via Samuel Wieder Architects)

1595 Broadway: 10 affordable apartments ranging from $1,689 per month for a studio to $1,989 per month for a one-bedroom unit; apply by March 29th.

104 Central Ave. (via Google Maps)

104 Central Ave.: Three one-bedroom apartments at $2,300 per month each; apply by March 26th.

Amenities: Roof terrace and coin-operated laundry.

 

Brooklyn Heights

146 Pierrepont St.: 23 affordable apartments ranging from $596 per month for a studio to $2,993 per month for a two-bedroom; apply by March 27th.

Amenities: Attended lobby, on-site resident manager, fitness center, resident lounge, roof terrace, children’s playroom, laundry room* (*additional fees apply)

East Flatbush

1643 New York Ave. Three one-bedroom apartments at $2,211 per month; apply by March 25th.

Amenities: Roof terrace and in-unit washer and dryer

Flatbush:
