When it comes to what we want out of life, the list pretty much goes : 1. Ability to pay rent, 2. Sane roommates, 3. Free cheese. So it will come as barely a surprise that when we heard the words “free cheese party,” we were already sharpening our knife set in anticipation.

The 2nd annual Speakcheesy is coming to 61 Local (61 Bergen Street, Cobble Hill) in celebration of Cheese Grotto’s Kickstarter launch. The invite promises delicious cheeses, top quality local pairings of honey, chocolate, preserves and microbrews, a guided tasting map (spoiler alert: all of the cheeses are from the Kingdom of Mmm) and a DJ set by Adam Schatz, all of which is free of charge to attend, but donations to the Cheese Grotto Kickstarter are highly encouraged.

The dairy-loving event is going down on November 21 from 7pm-1opm, so be sure to mark your COWanders and RSVP here. Bring a friend so you don’t have to fly prov-alone, wear something forgiving so you can have Morbier, and be prepared to feel pretty grate (I’m so, so sorry).

  1. “Event Has Reached Max Capacity”. Message received when you go to RSVP.
Too bad looks like a great event! Though they still do encourage you to donate to their Kickstarter which is/was the true intent of having the event. Really want some cheese now …

    • Hey cheese lovers! Due to popular demand, we’ve gotten more sponsors, and opened the event back up. We hope to see your cheesy loving selves there!
