TV show doling out free late-night drunkenness this week

Making it in America can indeed involve booze

No, it’s not that CBS dreck that has yet to do anything for Brooklynites besides give us fresh material to snark about. The HBO show How to Make it In America is celebrating its second season that starts on Oct. 2 by throwing a bunch of late-night open bars in Brooklyn and the Lower East Side because … HBO has crazy money? From all your Wire DVD purchases? It includes Thursday night  jams at Nitehawk Cinema from 10-11pm and Bembe form 12-1am. There are associated DJs, dancing, photo booths and more, and the free booze is Hendrick’s Gin and Hudson Whiskey, which ain’t bad at all. See the full list of open bars and details over at Free Dubya.
