SATURDAY 11am: Smokey Robinson plays Brooklyn’s Cadman Plaza, part of A&E’s recovery rally, free.

SATURDAY 6pm: Celebrate strange + odd facial hair at the 2nd annual Coney Island beard + moustache competition, $10.

SUNDAY 10am-6pm: From Edwidge Danticat to Giulia Melucci: 200+ authors appear at the Brooklyn Book Festival, free.

SUNDAY 11am-5pm: Montague Street closes to traffic, celebrates w. free samples from 12+ restaurants.
