Sweet job alert: Midtown Comics needs a comics-loving strongman

The popular perception of the comic book fan is still one who isn’t all that physically capable. More Bruce Banner than Hulk, if you will. That being said, we’e sure there are hulking comics fans out there, because why else would Midtown Comics put an ad up looking for a warehouse strongman for the back issue department in their Long Island City warehouse? So if you’re one of them, your time has come.

Yep, that’s right, a job in a comics warehouse. Not all warehouse jobs are created equal, and this one is clearly at the top of that pyramid, so what are you waiting for, apply already. Oh, you want to know the details? Well, Midtown Comics needs a detail oriented full-time employee for the back issue department in their comics warehouse. In addition to having “advanced comic knowledge,” you need to be able to lift heavy boxes too.

So they don’t just want someone who read Identity Crisis and thinks they know it all, you need to be well versed in all of DC’s ridiculous Crises and be able to talk about them while getting a box of Superboy Prime-related comics down from a high shelf. We’re picturing something like the “top men” warehouse from the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark, but we imagine it’s a less lonely existence than that.
