Summer savings are back at Powerhouse’s huge book sale

Powerhouse, Dumbo’s purveyor of great free events and fun parties, likes to shake out some of its inventory at the end of every summer. The bookstore is back with its annual huge summer sale, which promises “deep discounts” on fiction, non-fiction, kids books and select titles. Last year’s sale featured books at up to 90 percent off and loads of others for $2-$10. The sale is on now through Sept. 3!

Other specific discounts include:

-People-watch without leaving your air-conditioned apartment with VICE Dos and Don’ts Volume 2 (was $20, now $10)
-Class it up Old Hollywood style with Gary Cooper: Enduring Style (was $60, now $25)
-Get in the back-to-school spirit with Take Ivy (was $24.95, now $10).
-Daydream about your posthumous success with Vivian Maier: Street Photographer (was $39.95, now $25).

Powerhouse Books is at 37 Main St. in Dumbo.
