Don’t let the wind chill deceive you — the summer outdoor market season is VERY NEARLY UPON US, and this weekend marks the return of Smorgasburg and Brooklyn Flea! And thank god, because that artisanal BK-made salsa we bought last July has totally expired. Not that that’s stopped us…

The Fort Greene Flea reopens at 10 a.m. this Saturday at its usual Lafayette Ave location: expect lots of bespoke local handcrafted and vintage goods like wooden spoons and other knicknacks by Chris Han’s Natural Crafts, fancy old-school threads courtesy of Vintage by Sue Harmon, and jewelry crafted from recycled records made  by Wrecords by MonkeySmorgasburg will also open on Saturday at its brand spanking new spot at the East River State Park, approximately 20 feet from its old location; vendors like Brooklyn Big Bao, Brooklyn Cured and Porchetta will be slinging their tasty wares from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

And the fun don’t stop there! Brooklyn Flea will head to Williamsburg on Sunday, also at East River State Park, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Smorgasburg, meanwhile, will set up its tents at the Tobacco Warehouse in Dumbo from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Happy eating!
