Skaters gonna skate at Prospect Park this Friday

This isn’t quite a free thing to do this week, but it certainly is summery and chock full of retro cool. The Skate Truck NYC, which drives around the city renting roller skates and inline skates (aka rollerblades) will be posting up at Prospect Park on Friday. It’s $15 for a two-hour rental or $25 for the whole day with safety equipment included. The truck also provides lessons taught by “internationally accredited skaters,” so you can fall on your ass less, for $30 with equipment included. The truck will be around all summer so check back on its site for more dates.

If we remember correctly, roller skating was actually way more fun than roller blading. Can anyone confirm?

The truck will be open from 10am-5pm on Friday (July 13).
