Hey Brooklyn! Do you need a haircut? Do you need a beer? Do you need a veggie burger? Do you need last-minute Labor Day plans? Well if you’re looking, you can find all of that in Bed-Stuy this Sunday. PHRESH CUTZ is a pop-up barbershop organized by a bunch of queer kids running with scissors. The event, from 2-10, is put together by Hair Force One, a locally-based amateur haircutting collective dedicated to giving looks and spreading love (it’s the Brooklyn way).
We’ve been meaning to open up shop for quite some time now, and figured there was no better place to do it than literally in our own backyard with a big freaking party. So if you’ve ever missed out on those barbershop fades, that hairdryer gossip, or those striped poles (just kidding, we couldn’t find one), PHRESH CUTZ is your chance to catch up. For just $10, you get a haircut AND two drinks.
In addition to providing hair styling services (hairs of all lengths and sexualities welcome), we’ll also be serving the phreshest of tunes, as well as food and drank in celebration of our newfound friends. If you don’t need a haircut, you can still get in for $7, which also comes with two drinks.
Hair appointments will be made via our Facebook event page from today until Saturday, so join us to get updates on what’s going on.
