Did you miss out on Ride Brooklyn’s big sale this past weekend? Oh man, what a bummer, now you’ll never get a bike. Unless, of course, someone else stepped up and decided that they wanted to sell bikes on the cheap as well. But who would ever want to do that? Oh, hey, Crown Heights’ Bicycle Roots (609 Nostrand Avenue) has a few models on sale at the moment, what do you know.

If you’re looking for the kind of bike to race away on like you’re in some kind of action movie, these bikes probably won’t be for you. But on the other hand, if you’re looking for comfortable bikes to ride around the city you could do worse. These vintage-style road bikes combine the best of looking cool because you have something vintage and also actually being functional because they’re not fifty years old and covered in rust. The bikes are all between $500 and $629 dollars, and come with rear racks on them so you can throw a basket on whichever one you choose. And despite not being racing bikes, they’re all all made of aluminum and not steel, which means you won’t want to kill yourself or someone else by the time you get up to the top of a hill. Hooray!
