We’re all praying for spring, but things are going to stay icy in Brooklyn all the way this month, because on March 20 at 7pm, the Barclays Center is hosting a sneak preview of the Game of Thrones‘ Season 4 premiere, before its April 6 TV premiere at 9pm. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, March 6 for just $15, and the lucky 7,000 people who manage to fight their way through the cold world called the King’s Landing, the internet, will win a viewing of the anticipated new episode on a stadium sized screen, with accompanying costume and prop displays from the traveling exhibition, photo ops on the Iron Throne, and more.
The season is kicking off with an episode called “Two Swords.” In A Storm of Swords, the third novel in the George R.R. Martin’s series, Ned Stark’s Valyrian great sword is broken down and turned into two new swords: one for King Joffrey, and one for Jaime Lannister. Joffrey names his sword Widow’s Wail, but with this sneak peak, you can find out what what Jaime names his before your friends do. But you’ll have to bring your own fake sword to the party to make it like a merry wedding (bad joke – had to!).
And actually, don’t bring a sword, since security probably won’t appreciate that. You also need to leave your cell phone and any cameras at home, both because that’s more historically accurate and because HBO is taking this NO SPOILERS thing very seriously.
