Learn how to order wine and hear a New Yorker say sh*t

Remember that Shit New Yorkers say video that caused much guffaws, and some controversy? This month you get to hear the shit straight from the New Yorker’s mouth! Ilana Glazer, who starred in the video with her brother Eliot,, will be the featured storyteller at this month’s I Like You Maude Story slam. It’s part of the monthly free tuesday night series at the Tea Lounge, which starts next week with “Car Truck Boat Train,” a variety show featuring Mendoza and Gameface, and Justin Perez and Michelle Wolf, and continues with a SkillShare how to order wine in a restaurant. March 6: Car Truck Boat Train – 8:30pm
This month’s featured guests will include improv groups Mendoza and Gameface, and comedians Justin Perez and Michelle Wolf. Produced by Brian Griffin and Ora Fruchter.

March 13: Brooklyn Skillshare Presents: “How to Order Wine in a Restaurant” – 7:30pm
This class, aimed at novice wine drinkers who want to feel more confident, will take the anxiety out of the process of ordering wine and the mystery out of the wine list. You’ll learn how to decipher hidden costs and values, demystify that first taste, and how to talk to a sommelier.

March 20: I Like You, Maude: StorySLAM with Featured Guest Storyteller Ilana Glazer- 7:30pm
Anyone can put their name in the hat for a chance to tell a five-minute tale, without notes or paper, on any topic. And for having the plums to bare one’s soul, every storyteller wins a prize! This month’s featured guest storyteller is Ilana Glazer (Broad City, Shit New Yorkers Say). Hosted by Kerri Doherty.

March 27:  Fresh Start Comedy – 9pm
 Hosts Mike Pomranz (blogger, Tosh.0) and Joe Zimmerman (The Beards of Comedy Tour) promise things will be better than before. Fresh Start comedy has featured comics from Dave Letterman, Comedy Central and VH1.
