Do you ever imagine what Brooklyn would be like without music festivals? Well we’re pretty sure it would be really quiet and unfestive, so we’re glad we don’t need to picture that too much since Brooklyn’s getting another one: Escape Music Festival is coming to Pier 9 at the Red Hook Container Terminal (Degraw Street and Van Brunt Street) October 11-12 and it’s bringing really major festive musicians with it.

The full lineup was announced today and headliners include Girl Talk, Ra Ra Riot, The Joy Formidable and DJ sets from Moby, STRFKR, Neon Indian, and Plastic Plates & Sam Sparro. There’s also an Elrow stage, the first Elrow event in the U.S., so you get to be among the first people on this side of the pond to experience what’s been shaking up the European electronic scene. The Elrow artists include Alan Fitzpatrick, Boris, Miss Kittin, and Sebastien Leger.

The organizers have changed the age to 18+ from 19+ since first announcing the festival, so your little sister can tag along. Two-day passes are currently $109, and if you need to take a ferry in from South Street Seaport, it’s $35 round-trip for both days. Uber will be also hosting a pick-up spot at Imlay and Summit Street.
