OMG it’s the holidays again, and it’s less then a month until Christmas and Hanukkah! Your holiday shopping is done, right? You’ve found the perfect, unique, and handmade gift for everyone on your naughty and nice lists, right? No? Don’t you fret friends, there are now more holiday markets then ever right in the comfort of your own Brooklyn backyard. This year’s markets feature sugar (pies from Eat Pie Shop) spice (cider from Roberta’s Holiday Market) and everything nice (free gift-wrapping at Brooklyn Holiday Bazaar).

Why go to the city and deal with the tourists blocking the sidewalks while they stare up at all the big tall Starbucks shops in the sky if you can just travel around on Santa’s preferred sleigh, the G train. Stay in Brooklyn, shop local at any of these markets, and we promise your holiday shopping list will be taken care of faster than you can say…happy holidays.

Williamsburg

Kalio Workshop’s Holiday Pop Up

Celebrate this retail and workshop studio’s two weekend long Holiday Pop-Up that features sustainable apparel, jewelry, home goods, and food. Punk Rock Heavy Metal Flea Market

This event at a bar features an eclectic mix of goods: vintage and new designer clothing, hard-to-find records, heavy metal art and t-shirts, rock photography, handmade accessories, specialty-blended tea, books, and mid-century kitsch. This market will feature 25 Brooklyn based vendors, DJ’s, art, and food trucks like Mexicue, Mamu Thai Noodle, and Red Hook Lobster Pound; and Brooklyn Brewery beer. Be sure to look at the walls because artists JC in NYC and Praxis, will be painting multiple full-length murals for the market. RSVP on the website for free tickets.

This event is the school’s 35th annual Winter Fest and Artisan Crafts Fair. It will feature an artisan crafts fair, music, a plant sale, a book fair, a carnival and other activities as well as food. If you aren’t set with all of your holiday tidings yet, you can pre-order wreaths, poinsettias, and holiday plants to pick them up at the fair.

This popular flea moves inside and down the block from its usual location. There will be 100 vendors selling vintage, antiques, and more, and 25 food vendors. Berg’n has a dozen drafts on tap, 50+ bottles and cans, bloody marys, and natural wine, and food from Asia Dog, Mighty Quinn’s BBQ, Pizza Moto, and Ramen Burger.

This holiday market brings together artists/artisans from Red Hook, Gowanus, Cobble Hill, and Carroll Gardens and members of the Ti Art Studios to offer a wide variety of products for sale.
