We know we’re more than slightly obsessed with Fancy Fast Food, the tumblr blog where a guy from Williamsburg takes fast food and turns it into gourmet-looking meals, but we couldn’t resist drawing your attention to yet another post. Today brings FFF’s most revolting offering yet: a Wendy’s Napoleon, made from a “Baconator” combo—bacon cheeseburger, fries, etc. Kudos on the sugar-packet brittle, but a question: is this a dessert or a main course? The napoleon itself is made from mashed up burgers, buns and fries. Are we being too literal here by wanting some sort of conceptual cohesion from Fancy Fast Food? Nobody’s going to eat this, but isn’t the conceit that one could? Maybe the hiccup is because this week’s FFF is from a guest chef: insanewiches.com. (Cute site, though). Short answer: yes, you are.
Long answer: The site is all about sacrificing food at the altar of design. It has nothing to do with sustenance.
