Raising a baby to age 18 will cost you about $226,000 in this modern world, according to a report released this week by the US Department of Agriculture, which, as we all know, is responsible for growing babies. A quarter million dollars for years and years of jam hands seems intense. Although it doesn’t factor in college which, let’s be honest, if you have a kid you best damn well be ready to pay for as well.
One parenting expert told The Week the numbers are “depressing” while another said it’s a bargain “considering the blessing a child is for a family.” The price does not include the cost of the jail time for punching that dude in the face either.

For even more depressing fun, here’s a baby cost calculator! (it vaguely bases where you live to guesstimate the cost) http://www.parenting.com/cost-raising-child
Is there any sort of economy of scale here? If you have two or three or seven, does the price per unit go down?
Like hell I’m paying for my kid’s college. My dad paid for mine and look how ungrateful and unambitious I turned out to be.
How much babby cost?
