Free summer music is great and all, but do you ever think to yourself that what it’s really missing is a bunch of skateboard ramps to sit on? Well then you’re in luck, because the free House of Vans are back this year, and have yet another excellent goddamn lineup.
The shows, held at the skateboarding warehouse in Greenpoint, at 25 Franklin Street, kick off with Canadian hardcore living gods Fucked Up. We recommend eating well before that show, because trying to survive in that pit takes a ton of energy. Things then slow down and ride the chillwave with Toro y Moi before picking up with !!!. And it call ends at the end of August with Les Savy Fav and a special guest, which we really hope ends up being some characters from Superjail. Actually wait…that’s a terrifying thought.
