Good news today, fam. Gothamist is officially back in action today, under WNYC.
The public radio station’s president, Jim Schachter even tweeted about it this morning:
Well would you look at that: My favorite NYC news blog is back in business. @WNYC @Gothamist https://t.co/2Bi5OvHVi5

WNYC acquired Gothamist early this year after its former billionaire owner Joe Ricketts shut the publication (along with DNAinfo) when it unionized last year.
While Gothamist has been pubbing articles since early April in a “soft opening” of sorts, it returned to the internet today in a blaze of glory. We couldn’t be more thrilled to see this eagle eyed, top notch site back on the scene. Welcome back, Gothamist!
