Do you love tacos? Do you love poke, dumplings, and other Japanese favorites? Well, if you do, you’ll love Warude, a new eatery in Bed-Stuy. Located on 385 Tompkins Ave in a cute, garage-inspired space adorned with lots of bright colors and communal tables. It’s a Japanese-owned restaurant that serves anything from tacos, bento bowls, chicken wings, dumplings, soup, and more. The menu, of course, is largely organic–which seems to be a must for Brooklyn dwellers.
I personally recommend the salmon poke bowl, which was fresh, delicious, and flavorful. The drawback to the restaurant is the small portions and price. The ingredients are top-notch, but if you’re really hungry and/or don’t want to easily spend $20 on a medium-sized meal, you might want to go elsewhere. However, if you’re looking for a fun, fantastic dining experience that is also casual and cool, this is the place for you.
