Buschenschank
320 Court Street (Degraw and Sackett Streets), Cobble Hill
(718) 237-0325
What it is: German bier hall and tavern with Italian influences in the heart of Cobble Hill.
Why we love it: With the fireplace, exposed brick walls and reclaimed wooden tables, it’s a relaxing and romantic place to grab a bite and a drink with a date after seeing a showing at Cobble Hill Cinema just down the street.
What to order: The house-brewed beer, Buschenschank Pilsner or Heffe, or one of the German brews on tap. Order pizza and a plate of wurst, because where else will you get the chance to eat both those cuisines under one roof? Also, homemade pretzels and bier cheese.
Regular tip: The “Ratskeller,” their elegant downstairs lounge, is available to reserve for private events.
