Dean Street
755 Dean St. (at Underhill St.)
Prospect Heights
(718) 783-3326
What is it: A laid-back gastro pub that doubles as Pro-Cro neighborhood joint, nestled in a quiet corner of Dean at Underhill.
Why we love it: You can enjoy a drink and a chat with the friendly regulars or sit down to a meal from new executive chef David Glenn, who hails from the successful pop-up New Orleans-inspired café the Tchoup Shop.
Who to bring: A good friend; or somebody you admire and want to know better.
What to order: Try out one of the flavorful small plates, like brisket duck boudin balls with creole mustard and bread and butter pickles ($7), or crispy confit chicken wings with chipotle jam and cilantro and lime crema.
Dean Street fun fact: The owners went to middle school together on Long Island!

Just went here for the first time last night and it was great. The bartender and the waitress were really pleasant.
Great breakfast nachos on the menu some weekends!
I have never heard anyone seriously refer to this neighborhood as “ProCro” besides sketchy douchebag brokers. Don’t emulate them.
Agree, don’t say Pro-Cro.
“Pro-Cro”? Really? Don’t do that.
