We’re giving away 100 tickets to OctFest beer, food and music festival

There is an amazing beer and music festival in Brooklyn in less than three week’s time and you need to go. OctFest, brought to you by leading beer culture mag October and Pitchfork, is coming to the Brooklyn Hanger on September 9th. Forty (!) breweries, some serious musical acts and tasty foods are gathering for this one-day, one-of-a-kind festival. We want you to get a chance to take part, so we’re giving away a ton of free tickets!

The people at October know a few things about beer, and they want you to, too. From 1pm to 9pm general admission ticket holders get access to the entire festival and unlimited 3 oz samples from breweries from all around the country. That includes local faves like Singlecut and Peekskill along with national and international brewers like Montauk, Rogue, Adirondack, and Wiehenstephan. You’re not stuck with just samples all day; when you find a beer that knocks your socks off, you can buy full pints, too.

Of course, you can’t just drink beer for eight hours straight. (Ed.: You can.) To help make this festival more festive, OctFest has lined up incredible musical talent for the entire day:

Beer✔ Music✔ What else? Oh, yeah, FOOD. Local vendors, including Big Mozz, will be rolling their trucks right up to the party to satisfy your drunk munchies.

A festival this good is bound to attract a lot of people. Luckily it’s happening at the Brooklyn Hanger, a gigantic events hall in Industry City. The Hangar has more than 13,000 square feet of party space, conveniently located on the N and with plenty of parking. (Bring your designated drivers, plz.) You’ll be rubbing shoulders with Brooklyn’s hop-heads and music lovers without, you know, actually rubbing shoulders.
