Bars We Love: Don’t get mad, get drunk, at Union Hall!

Union Hall

Union Hall
702 Union St., (between Fifth & Fourth Avenues)
Park Slope
(718) 638-4400

What is it: With book-lined walls and antique nic nacs, Union Hall has established itself as a Brooklyn favorite for its classic down-home-meets beer-loving statesman vibe. Two indoor bocce ball courts hardly make a dent in this huge space.

Why We love it: The huge space means there’s nothing they won’t host here. That includes live music, karaoke, storytelling, games, DJs, bingo, comedy and on and on. Check out their calendar for upcoming events.

Who to bring: During the week? Bring family, friends, lovers or wannabe-lovers. You’ll have plenty of room for chatting, bocce ballin’, and a relaxed environment to have a drink. Now come the weekends, get some friends together because it’s a bit more high energy, and don’t count on getting in on that bocce.

What to order: Grab a beer from their rotating list and soak it up with some Floyd’s Beer Cheese and Ritz Crackers.

Union Hall fun fact: Union Hall has been lovingly converted from what used to be a 5,000 square foot warehouse into the beautiful bar that it is today.
