With spring finally here, it’s time for venues and bars around Brooklyn to open back up after the long winter spent hibernating. Unfortunately for the sweet tooths of Prospect Heights, dessert and cocktail bar Spirited will not be among them. The wintertime closure for “renovations” has become permanent. Goodbye sweet, boozy prince.
That said, Spirited is going out like a champ with one last hurrah this Sunday, April 19. At the “Last Call” event, which starts at 11am and runs until the doors finally shut, the Spirited crew will not only be selling their signature drinks and desserts, but also most of the furniture in the place.
You might ask yourself, “Do I need two Stackable Baker’s Pride Electric Convection Ovens each valued at $5,000?” You probably don’t, but you could use a 1957 cigarette machine (which doesn’t work but can be repaired), a brass coffee table, or any of the other vintage décor for sale at steep discounts. On the cheaper end, dishes, barware, and other general paraphernalia are included as well.
The sale is cash only and most prices haven’t been posted, but after a few drinks, your haggling skills are probably pretty spectacular. If nothing else, you can grab some dessert and say goodbye to a classy joint in style.
