We are being spoiled when it comes to food options this summer. We got Feltman’s bringing $2 hot dogs to Ditmas Park every Wednesday; Joe’s Pizza coming to Williamsburg and now, every other Tuesday, Jarobi White, former member of A Tribe Called Quest, will grilling tacos in Bed-Vyne Cocktail’s new outdoor space. According to DNAinfo “Tribe Taco Tuesdays” will have the former ACTQ member turned chef serving up a “variety of tacos every other week with favorites like carne asada, pork belly, chicken and cod.”
The event is apart of White’s “Eat’s, Rhymes and Life” project, where he mixes his two great passions, Hip-Hop and food, to bring fine dining to the people of his community. White, who lives in Bed-Stuy, is one of a few local chefs that will serve up food to visitors of the bar this summer, as the venue celebrates the opening of their new backyard space. Food will all cost around two to ten dollars, so your bank account has no need to worry. So instead of microwaving that frozen dinner your pretty sure is slowly killing you, head over to Bed-Vyne so your stomach can make love to tacos “like Jarobi on the phone.”
