Brooklyn’s food industry is red hot. Like, Guatemalan insanity pepper hot. So what better time than now to feature the thriving restauranteurs and food scene-makers in a trade show devoted entirely to food? Lucky for us, we get just that next Wednesday with Brooklyn Eats, going down at the Pfizer Building on Flushing Avenue.
If you’re at all interested in Brooklyn’s food industry, this is going to be the place to be. If you’re looking to break in to the industry, or are just starting out, you can get some money-saving tips on energy efficiency in running your kitchen from National Grid, and can hobnob with the folks that run Edible Brooklyn. Plus Jacques Torres will be on hand to talk about the awesome opportunities available at the Brooklyn Army Terminal, when he discusses his new chocolate operation there.
On the other hand, if you just like to eat food, this is also a great place to be. From the noon lunch to the afternoon cooking demonstrations, there’ll be awesome free samples from some of the best cooking minds in the whole borough, and if you end up liking something you can buy a full portion of it. But why do that when you can wander an enormous trade show, that again, is full up of some of the smartest foodies in all of Brooklyn. Anyway, we’ve got a full schedule for you, so you know when to go beg for chocolate.
