Get some 1/2 price Cyclones tickets, because there’s no baseball like cheap baseball

A happy recap is even happier when it comes at half the cost. via Facebook

At 31-38 and sitting perilously close to last place in the NL East, the Mets might be inspiring feelings of sadness and frustration if you’re a fan. “It’s depressing,” you’re probably thinking, “that 400-year-old Bobby Abreu is probably the team’s best hitter. Can the Mets even physically score more than five runs in two straight games?” It’s okay, we’re here to help, with half-price Brooklyn Cyclones tickets, so you can catch future Mets who might make watching the parent club more bearable.
Over at Goldstar (sort of a Groupon for live local events), there’s a deal for 1/2 off Cyclones tickets going on right now. Two dates are available: tomorrow night, June 17 against the awesomely-named Hudson Valley Renegades, and next Wednesday, June 25, against the also awesomely-named Aberdeen IronBirds (there’s even a baseball cap giveaway at this one). Tickets that would usually be $16 go for a measly $8, which will leave you with extra beer and roller coaster money. After all, since you’re down in Coney anyway, why not check out the new Thunderbolt, now (finally) in operation? You have to sign up for Goldstar’s email to get the tickets, but what’s one more email that’ll just get filtered into your Promotions folder every morning?
