You, yes you, can help pick the SummerStage 2015 lineup. Choose wisely.

Is it gonna be someone you picked who’s up there next year? Maybe! Photo by Michael Seto, via Facebook

SummerStage has passed Brooklyn by at this early date in the summer, leaving us only our plethora of outdoor summer movies and Celebrate Brooklyn shows for enjoyment. We know, so sad. If you’re jonesing for SummerStage action though, we’ve got good news for you: the event organizers are letting you suggest acts for 2015 through crowdsourced concert website WeDemand. Don’t blow this and pick something lame like Mumford and Sons.

It all works pretty simply. According to a press release from the City Parks department, from now through September 30, you can submit whatever band you’d like to see to the SummerStage 2015 WeDemand page. From October 1 until December 31, you’ll be able to vote on the most popular submissions to the site, and finally, shows will be crowdsourced from January 1 to February 28.

So whether you consider yourself a musical visionary who can tell what the hot new trend will be next summer, or you’re a nostalgia-addled individual who really wants to see Collective Soul at Red Hook, go make your voice be heard. Like we said though: No Mumford and Sons.
