Join the Park Slope YMCA now and save $250

The Park Slope Armory YMCA complex, voted best sporting facility in NY by NY Mag.

You can take one of two tracks during the summer: veg out, marinate in the exquisite creature comfort that is air conditioning, enjoy all the lazy summer freebies the city has to offer and soak in the sun; or you could use the season as inspiration to get yourself into ideal bikini shape for all those sweet summer bike safaris. The Y in Park Slope is here to help with a stellar summer membership deal: from now until Sept. 5 you can join both Slope locations for the summer for just $200 (or $275 for the whole family). That’s a savings of almost $250 over the regular adult price!

The deal waives the $121 joining fee, and the family package covers from one adult and one child up to two adults and five children.

Megan King, director of Fund Development and Communications for the Y, says to think about it like this: “So  a family of seven (2 adults, 5 kids) if joined TODAY could receive a membership granting them access to both the Park Slope Armory Y and Prospect Park Y all the way until September 5 for only 38 cents per person/per day. That’s pretty cool.”

“We are urging people to join as quickly as they can to maximize this offer. Plus, if a person or family chooses to join one or both of our locations after their summer membership runs out, we’ll waive the joiner’s fee then too.”

The signup period lasts through June 27, and summer memberships can be purchased at the membership desk at either the Prospect Park YMCA or Park Slope Armory YMCA.

The YMCA also has a summer day camp, which range from $300 to $450. Plus, all campers that participate in the special needs camp automatically receive 50 percent financial assistance. More info here.
