It’s time to party: the return of the Bushwick Block Party

Can it top last year? Only one way to find out. via Facebook

Bushwick loves a good party. We mean, we’re that everywhere loves a good party, but people especially love it in Bushwick. And while there are plenty of decentralized parties that go on throughout the year there, and even plenty of block parties, there’s only one Bushwick Block Party. And good news: that 11 hours of pizza, beers and uh, bikini keg stands, will be upon us in exactly one month!

This year’s block party, on July 27 from noon until 11pm, marks the party’s fourth year. As in past years, Roberta’s is the prime force behind this, and they’ll be rolling out not one, not two, not three, but FOUR ovens. If for some reason you don’t want pizza (why?) there’ll also be options like Arancini Brothers, Crif Dogs and a food truck helmed by Action Bronson, which is one of the craziest goddamn things we’ve ever heard of. At least until this year’s promo video.

In addition to the food, there’s going to be a skate demo sponsored by Vans and Second Nature, Tiki Disco, jump rope from Double Dutch Empire and aforementioned bikini keg stand contest. We’re not gonna lie, while we don’t really have the figure to be confident enough to enter the contest, it’s definitely the most intriguing aspect of the block party, and the heavy front runner for “Most Instagram Pictures.” See you there, punks.

Bushwick Block Party, Saturday, July 27, noon – 11pm, Moore Street, Bushwick, FREE
