You can never have enough free summer movies. Well, maybe if we schedule two series in the same exact location and same exact time, like some kind of wacky sitcom, then yes, you can. But otherwise, no. And while it was looking for a second there like East River Park would have no free movies to speak of this summer, The Brooklyn Paper says that Neighbors Allied for Good Growth has done the neighborly thing and stepped in with some summer movies.
The movies will be shown on Mondays, at 8:30pm at the Williamsburg park, starting on June 24. This movie series skews a little more family-friendly than the others, with no R-rated movies making an appearance. But if you want your fill of cursing and guardian-required cinema in Williamsburg, you can always hit up SummerScreen. The schedule, as follows:
June 24: Despicable Me
July 1: Life of Pi
July 8: Hugo
July 15: The Artist
July 22: Up
July 29: Skyfall
