Brokerlyn: Two-bedrooms for $2,000/month and less

Snazzy. In Flatbush.

Wanting to find you all the very best the Brooklyn apartment market had to offer, we opened our laptops and started searching, only to be blown away by how many affordable two-bedrooms we found. It’s unclear what deity bestowed these incredible apartments on us, or perhaps we accidentally spent our weekly subway karma on finding these units, but no matter which god visited us or how late the F is coming home from work tonight, we found these boss homes for you. Take a look, they’ll probably be gone tomorrow.

________

Classic Brooklyn vibes, to say the least
Flatbush
$899/month
One-bedroom

A room for rent in a house where the bedroom carpet, chair and a sash thrown across the bed are all the same color + a number of other telling details in regards to the bathroom upholstery is a good sign your landlord’s gonna have a local accent. Access to two full bathrooms is also no small perk.

________

Embrace your mermaid identity
Coney Island
$1,350/month
One-bedroom

Living on Mermaid Ave. gives you claim to one of the coolest addresses in America. With exposed brick and a recently renovated kitchen, this place is spiffy without the address. But like you should move here for the address.

________

Really cute original details
Midwood
$1,350/month
Studio

Those gorgeous doorways and built-in bookshelves are from another time, but that doesn’t mean we’ve accomplished anything by not building them anymore. The world would be a better place if we still valued built-in bookshelves the same way we did 100 years ago. Brokelyn is low-key obsessed with built-in bookshelves. #BringBackBuilt-InBookshelves / #BBBIB.

________

No-fee in PLG
Prospect Lefferts Gardens
$1,395/month
Two-bedroom

Yes, this is a two-bedroom apartment for less than $1,400 in a hot Brooklyn neighborhood that is pretty close to Manhattan. The photos give a look into why that price is so low.

________

Manhattan skyline does not come with apartment
Flatbush
$1,400/month
Studio

This looks like the kind of studio most brokers playoff as a one-bedroom. Seems well-maintained and clean, with lots of light. You can’t really ask for more in 2017 Brooklyn.

________

Do you even know where this is
Mill Basin
$1,195/month
One-bedroom

Mill Basin is really far from Manhattan, but it’s also cute and beach-y and quiet. There’s lots of boats and seafood and your neighbors probably have a car but also the cost of living is so much lower. It’s kind of like living in a New England beach town while also being a bus ride away from Brooklyn. Now you know where this is.

________

How is there not a catch
Ditmas Park
$1,995/month
Two-bedroom

What is going on here? This gut renovated, gorgeous two-bedroom in Ditmas Park, allegedly steps from the B/Q train, is priced at like reasonable one-bedroom prices. And it’s a two-bedroom.

________

Anotha bargain!
East Williamsburg
$2,000/month
Two-bedroom

Yet another great deal on a two-bedroom. As long as the L train lasts (which it will until your lease is up) this really is an “absolute steal”, assuming the Ghost of Williamsburg Past isn’t haunting the unit.

________

May we all be as sexy as those wall panels
Flatbush
$1,850/month
Two-bedroom

The bathroom is Wall Street level chic, and the one pictured bedroom is very spacious. The kitchen has limited counter space but looks recently renovated and those windows are huge.
